Documentary photographer, investigative journalist and National Geographic Explorer reporting on environmental crime, wildlife trafficking and natural resource conflicts. My work appears in international media including Süddeutsche Zeitung, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, New Lines Magazine and De Groene Amsterdammer and I direct documentaries for Arte/ZDF.
My investigations have been supported by the Pulitzer Center, Journalismfund Europe and the IWMF. I hold an MFA from the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. My photography is exhibited internationally, and I’m a member of Women Photograph, Reporters Without Borders and the Red Line collective.
